Is Cable good for 5/50?

Thinking of upgrading him to 5/50 to use for defense. I already have two mutants at 5/50, NC (use for defense) and X23 (use only for attack). Is he worth it? Or should I save for 5 star? Also can someone describe his awakened ability?

    Save cable is good but not really 5/50 worthy, on d he is a very easy fight unless someone mistakenly go at him with a bleed champion. His awakened ability gives him about a 30% chance to gain a powergain buff when he crosses a power bar threshhold but it is a very slow powergain so its not very valuable for defense
