Alliance - AW defense or AW attack?

Just wanted to figure out the common strategy on AW. Should I put my strongest champs in AW defense or put them on AW attack?

Currently, my top 5 rating champs goes into AW defense purely because
1/ the AI plays much much better than me
2/ AI is buffed
3/ I score lots of points on defender placement (unsure what that means actually)

Downside is my attackers are so so ...

What do you do and why?

    There are different champs that are better at offense and defense. So it really depends who you have. I use Spidey, Miles Morales, NightCrawler, Magik and Ultron as my normal defense team. I just got Mordo so I am probably going to replace Ultron with Mordo. So you should use the champs that are the most annoying to fight against on defense. For offense I usually use Vision, Cap WW2 and Scarlet Witch. On offense you want someone who is poison and bleed immune like Vision or Ultron. Vision is also good for offense because he can also power drain/burn against power gain defenders.

    What do you do and why?

    I tend to place my strongest heroes on defense rather than offense. My thinking is that the AI needs all the help it can get. So they get the higher rated heroes.
