If my attack finishes its animation...

It's becoming tiresome to se my champion complete its animation only to learn it's not landed and I'm about to receive a whooping.

Does anyone know or can explaine the mechanics behind this and is their a way to fix it.

I feel if my animation is first and completed then why would it be (nullified) and then the computer receiving my attack not only be able to not receive damage but pound the butter out of me.

Is this in every part of this game or is it just me, seems to happen all the time especially with the uppercuts. If my animation time is lower than the activation time of my opponent then should my attack not land first?
