Multiple players joining alliance at same time

Hi. 17 new players all joined our alliance at the same time to the minute. Seems a bit suspicious to me, but can’t work out what the activity means. Anyone experiencec this before?

They probably all left the same alliance together.will likely do the same to yours at some point.
We have a rule not to allow entire groups of friends to join.
We've done it before and if one gets bored they all leave leaving you in the 🤬

I'd recommend leaving your alliance and joining an active group with 29, preferably who run as high an AQ map as you can run with 3 groups. Being in an alliance that has 17 spots available isn't a good way to advance. Unless you want a small alliance for some reason, in which case make it by invitation only.

Thanks for the responses. This is an alliance I inherited just a few days ago and was suffering from lack of participation, so I’m going to give it a shot at turning it round. Definitely don’t want to be in a small alliance by choice

It could be a merge which your officers failed to inform the general members of.

I have heard that there are people doing this now due to the change in treasury rules. Basically hop into an alliance, do 1 week of AQ for free on the pre-text that they cannot pay donations, and then leave right after rewards are out.
