Yabut, a function as basic as this shouldn't have to have a gymnastic workaround.

By now this should be getting reviewed before the quest release. There are tons of complaints about it floating around. One play through should result in a flag and fix.

Or a "move to next node" selection; forks would be indicated like portal selections.
