Mastery

So I have around 700 units and 12 mastery points to use. Should I use all of them on mastery cores? Or how many should I buy? Or should I save my units? And if so on which masteries? Thanks all help would be appreciated.

in defence- salve 1 point, maxout recovery

offence - precission & cruelty maxout (remove 2 points or 3 from courage)
