Some of these champs are villains just without the villain tag and some are just plain mercenaries.
Kabam is probably not going to respond to this thread because, then people will be expecting the villain tags to be placed on the champs that are working as villains

5.2.6 Tyranny path—Cage, Elektra, Sabretooth, Nebula (each one labeled mercenary) were all power locked.

Corvus gained power. Not labeled villain, hero or mercenary.

I’m guessing this is just a bug held over from labeling aimed at trying to prevent Thanos Army from being rolled by Blade.

I fought Symbiote supreme in sinister labs. He gain power from tyranny node. He is not tag as a villain or hero

I used Massacre in the labs on the tyranny node, and he gained power, and is tagged mercenary.

The masacre that I fought in epic labs 2 days ago gained power despite it being on tyranny node. Sabretooth didn’t gain power when I fought him on tyranny node a few more days ago. Very strange indeed

Had a very weird interaction I used massacre and domino on this node and no power
Then I used nebula and she got power all 3 are mercenaries
Correction domino is also tagged as a hero so that explains the power
But massacre and nebula are just mercenaries

Who was the opposing character in those fights? When I used Massacre and gained power I was fighting a villain. Maybe some weird interaction means one not tagged a hero or villain follows the other?

Just let this thread die already, nothing is gonna be done y’all keep talking about this as if something is gonna change. Accept what it is, these villains are performing as villains even without the villain tag so blade can’t just blow past them. It’s becoming a common thing.

My epic lab team is all heroes, but I can’t remember who it was exactly that I used to fight masacre. Either starky or domino. Your theory didn’t pan out though.
