Pre fight abilities on defense

I don’t understand why, with pre fight abilities becoming more common (3) why they can’t be activated when placing a champ on defense? Why can I attack using 100% of human torches abilities but on defense he is only 85%? It should only be on the first flight but still it should be available. Also Stealth Spider-Man you should be able to pick his web cartridge. Let me know what you think.

    I think they have already tested this option with the human torch and found it a bit too hard !
    That's why you can't activate pre-fight abilities in defense
