should I rank up or wait till I get better champs?

currently on act 4 ch 3 and want to get past maestro and onto the collector. I can rank up two champs to r4, but not sure if I should wait for a god tier or another worthy 5*. do you think my roster (once ranked) can handle act 5? and does anyone have tips on who to rank? for now, eyeing gwenpool and ghulk. any tips or recs would be super helpful, thanks guys!
