Arena grinding

I don’t have a huge roster of four stars and I’m trying to grind for nick fury. I’m at 1.2 million points currently and hoping to find a way to get another 1.8 by the time the arenas done. How do I gain those points using my limited roster or do I just have to grind more than others? Just for clarification I am in the veterans bracket.

Thanks, I'm just gonna try and get as far as I can tonight and hopefully have a better roster and be more prepared by the time that a new champion I want comes out.
