Getting hit during special attack

When I have been using Karnak recently, my second special has been being broken. Normally when a special starts, the attacker can not be hit until his special has finished. the sound effects for his special will still play but the attack will get broken by the other players attack. I haven't noticed this with anyone else yet.

Has someone else noticed this?
