Namor vs Havok

I have 2 questions regarding Namor fighting Havok:

1) Would Namor get damage from plasma detonate if he was attacking?
2) Does hitting the defender while blocking considered as attacking as well or must be hitting him directly?

1. No, but it is not easy to time or plan to only get detonation while striking.
2. Yes, hitting block transfers the damage
