Retirement Motivation

This isn't going to be a rant, but rather a statement of observations. I have been playing this game since it first came out. I have also put myself in self "retirement" for the better part of 3 years after the grind got too much, and I am glad I did considering how things have escalated.
That being said, here are some things I have noticed:
1. Nobody in my retirement alliance grinds arena, not even me, dispite the fact that they have all the time to do so because we don't require any participation. Why? I asked around and it's because there is nothing of value, even units, to entice them to grind even out of boredom.
2. We are all overflowing with certain resources and crystals and starving for others. It's not a matter of poor management. I can literally not even roll out of bed and end up with t4b and t4cc just by logging in. But t2a and t5b, you have to put in a ton of effort. There is not really a middle ground I explore the Uncollected monthly EQ for the t2a. But that means it's 4 months just to take a 5* up to rank 4. It's seems a little ridiculous considering we now have 6*s. Don't give me that power creep nonsense. I'm retired and Cavalier, I just want to enjoy some good champs when I'm lucky enough to pull them.
3. Dungeons are great! I like the short commitment for decent rewards, it is rather ideal for a retired player.
4. The event quests have good writing, I am always interested, however, it may be time for something more for cavalier players with rewards appropriate to people attempting to take on act 6.
5. The pool for champs is so large out of generic crystals that hoping to get a specific champ has lost its appeal. A 1/150 chance to get the one you want dulls the senses. Perhaps offer narrower selection crystals for lower tier crystals at a higher rate? Just like featured 5* or 6*, but for 3* and 4* etc.
Anyway just some thoughts from a retirement guy. Don't plan on quitting anytime soon, just would like to make sure my interest is held.
