Observations from the Retirement Home

This isn't going to be a rant, but rather a statement of observations. I have been playing this game since it first came out. I have also put myself in self "retirement" for the better part of 3 years after the grind got too much, and I am glad I did considering how things have escalated.
That being said, here are some things I have noticed:
1. Nobody in my retirement alliance grinds arena, not even me, dispite the fact that they have all the time to do so because we don't require any participation. Why? I asked around and it's because there is nothing of value, even units, to entice them to grind even out of boredom.
2. We are all overflowing with certain resources and crystals and starving for others. It's not a matter of poor management. I can literally not even roll out of bed and end up with t4b and t4cc just by logging in. But t2a and t5b, you have to put in a ton of effort. There is not really a middle ground I explore the Uncollected monthly EQ for the t2a. But that means it's 4 months just to take a 5* up to rank 4. It's seems a little ridiculous considering we now have 6*s. Don't give me that power creep nonsense. I'm retired and Cavalier, I just want to enjoy some good champs when I'm lucky enough to pull them.
3. Dungeons are great! I like the short commitment for decent rewards, it is rather ideal for a retired player.
4. The event quests have good writing, I am always interested, however, it may be time for something more for cavalier players with rewards appropriate to people attempting to take on act 6.
5. The pool for champs is so large out of generic crystals that hoping to get a specific champ has lost its appeal. A 1/150 chance to get the one you want dulls the senses. Perhaps offer narrower selection crystals for lower tier crystals at a higher rate? Just like featured 5* or 6*, but for 3* and 4* etc.
Anyway just some thoughts from a retirement guy. Don't plan on quitting anytime soon, just would like to make sure my interest is held.

Also this is still a business.. if they give everything out so easily how do they make money?
1. With my free time I grind arena more than ever. The enticing fact for me is units because I am F2P and like to gamble on cabs. This has netted me a lot of solid 5* and some 6*. This closes the gap on what I miss from being in a ramped up alliance with much more chill.
2. Yes certain resources are overflowing. T2a could afford to be more prevalent. I don’t think t5b need to much more availability but could be some. Higher end content offers options and also rank up gems. I actually have a large collection of rank up gems both regular and 2015/2106 for r4 and r3 gems. Also am sitting on a skill r5 gem too.
3. I cannot stand dungeons. They are boring for me and take to much time. I don’t like not being able to put the game down at any moment and not come back for 30 minutes. It’s a mobile game that is played on the fly. If I wanted a commitment to sit down and play I’ll play on console.
4. I don’t read this anymore lol probably for a couple of months since I retired.
5. Agree. There is very little excitement in opening a 5* crystal and a feeling of dread in opening a 6* crystal. That because 5* there are to many champs and 6* the shards are still so rare it’s shocking. Of course in higher tiers it’s not the same but for the retired the options towards 6* shards are limited in EQ and Questing on a reoccurring basis. Hence my arena grind for units has produced more 6* this summer then opening actual 6* crystals(all were trash of course though)
