Human Torch Vs Electro bug or Intended?

I just noticed recently that human torch takes damage back from electro when hitting into him. But according to electro's abilities, he only deal damage back when he is struck by a physical attack (or when made contact).

Human torch's basic attacks do not do physical damage, instead he deals only energy damage.
And on top of that most of his attacks dont even make contact.

So why does he take damage back from electro?

Because it makes contact, meaning it is not a projectile.
Anything that isn't a projectile, by its base, triggers Electro ability to cause damage back

Are we just assuming projectiles are the only non contact hits now?
Havok doesn't have projectiles but still most of his attacks count as non contact hits.
That would be an assumption on your part, read Havok’s abilities. He’s right and it’s always been this way.

Yeah, havok has non contact hits because it's written in his abilities. So projectiles are not the only way you can have non contact hits.
Human torch also has non contact hits. It's just not written in his abilities and hence my question whether its bugged
HT does not have non-contact/projectile basic attacks. He deals energy based damage. Projectile and non-contact are different ways of saying the same thing as far as game mechanics are concerned; use DD as an example he evades projectiles and evades Havok’s non-contact hits.
