Why is the AI able to do this?

So I’ve been completing some act 5 on my second account today, and I noticed the AI is able to screw me over when I dash in to hit their block. They wait for the dash in, dodge back, and dash in immediately to give me a nice 5 combo to the face. Is this intended? Never had it happen in previous updates.
