If Korg has immunity to shock, why does he lose energy when hitting Electro?

The ability description of Electro says “Static Shock”.
Even though it has shock on the name, it apparently does not count as a shock damage, which is strange. But it’s just a misleading name. The ability has nothing to do with the Shock Korg is immune to.
