4*s are slowly becoming obsolete. The sooner you accept this fact, the better it is. Sure I can do a lot of things in this game with 4*s but why would I bother using them when I have 5*s who are slightly better than 4*s at equivalent rank. I can do master with 3*s. Does that mean I will use 3*s to clear it every month? Hell no! It's too much of a pain. Same will apply with 4*s once 5*s become more available (as Kabam has said) and the "good" champs are all in the basic 5* crystal (as it is happening). I don't think anyone will pick a 4* when given a choice between a 4* and 5* variant of the same champ (do ever use your 3* "God-tier" champs for normal questing?)
Would you rather use duped 4* Voodoos, Icemans, Gwenpools, and Hyperions or would rather do it with rank 2 unduped 5* trash like Kamala Khan, Winter Soldier, Shehulk, Iron Patriot, and Antman?
Cause that's what the 5* crystals are filled with, mostly nothing but trash. Good luck getting a 5* SL (that you need to dupe anyway), and features are risky. Save 6 months worth of shards to open up a feature that gets you Spidey Gwen and Netflix Daredevil.

Also, I don't know why people seem to be focusing on 6*s so much here. Introduction of 6*s won't affect normal players in any way because they won't be accessible to them for a long time. What is changing is the availability of 5*s. That's what is going slowly make 4*s obsolete
Well 4* are still relevant cause all the game contents currently can be completed by 4* exception of LOL.... and building up a good arena team is absolutely important... battle chips and they in turn get you units and gold... I normally do feature arena and get to 4 million playing 1.5 hours tops per day in arena grinding and I only play like 2-3 days out of the 4 days
