4* Rank Up Advice

Hey guys I recently got my fingers on a third T4 basic catalyst, so now I'm wondering which 4* to rank up to Rank 4:
Wolverine X-23
Iron Man (Classic)
Drax
Spider Gwen
Joe Fixit
All of them are unduped.
I've stopped playing the game almost 2years ago after I got my first 4* (IM) and couldn't level him and got back three weeks ago so I feel kinda lost at the moment...
Should I save my catalysts and go for Doctor Strange? I heard he isn't that good anymore.
And is there an easy way to get 4*'s, t4 catalysts and awakening gems?
