Should AW and AQ timer always be at 30 minutes ?

As the time is set for AW and AQ (24h each), having the energy timer set to 30 minutes would simply give people around the world more latitude to do their lines

Looking at the amount of downtime, yes. When game has 100% it should be 1 hour.

then many not-so-active alliances will play higher maps & get the rewards of active players... & kabam may also make longer or harder paths in AQ, so its like: BEWARE WHAT YOU ASK FOR

This discussion comes up every time we get half hour timers, and sadly I don’t think anything has changed since last time...

Kabam has some weird explanation that it puts MORE pressure on players to move. This seems somewhat twisted logic, given that half hour timers are only ever introduced to mitigate disruptions on the game (and therefore facilitate making up lost time).

Personally (and anecdotally), I prefer half hour timers in AQ. It makes the whole experience much less stressful, and allows me time to take my best champs into other (harder) areas of the game- such as Act 6 and Variant.

Ultimately, I suspect this complicates Kabam’s business strategy of encouraging people to log in frequently throughout the day (which is perceived to correlate with spending), as alliance events are the main drivers of this. For obvious reasons, they don’t want to encourage this narrative, and therefore are unlikely to publicly acknowledge this as an aim.

TL;DR personally I like half hour timers in a AQ, but I doubt we’ll see them as a permanent feature.

Their logic makes no sense. You don't get bonus points for speed. It's less stress and I don't think it ultimately affects play time because if you're logging in just to unlink, are you really gonna be scrolling around your roster, opening crystals, doing quests when you're forced into a time crunch as a result of these archaic timers?
