You can have energy for as many hours as you want, as long as you have enough units to buy refills.

Because running out of quest energy encourages you to do other aspects of the game; like Dungeons, Arena and Alliance.

Besides, energy really doesn't need to be a problem if you use your daily allowance and spend a bit of time grinding arena. You can grind the 30 units for a full Energy refill in half an hour very easily.

Probably something to do with infinitely repeating quests for endless resource farming for free. Completion and quest completion, hero usage, class specialist events would also all be a lot easier, infinite potion farming in earlier quests. It would turn into a heavy grind game, but those who go through the grind would progress much faster.
