Massacre broken mechanics?

I recently got fed up with massacre getting destroyed by special attacks while striking into defender blocks to build up his bat so it would ignite. I sent a video of it to kabam and in a convoluted explanation they said that there game was working as it should. How can this be so when players can fire off specials while the computer is hitting into their blocks. Has anybody else had this issue it gotten a better explanation?

I never had any issues with the AI throwing specials between my block hits, and i've been playing massacre quite a lot.

Happens to me all the time. I notice it the most with champs that benefit from hitting into a block like Masacre, Sentinel, and Omega Red.

Probably happens with every champ, but it goes unnoticed because you wouldn't pound a block with most champs.
