Is the game too generous?

no_conformityy here! I love the MCOC as much as the next person. However recently I have notice the game has been really generous with crystals. I have recently seen a lvl 13 with a 5 star Kang. makes me wonder how "easy" the first three acts will be for that player. i don't know maybe i'm making a big fuss out of nothing. (tad bit jeaslous too  )

What do you think?

Does it really matter? I've been playing since right after release 5 years ago. 5*'s didnt exist. Following your logic, you had it easier than I did in completing content.

Having a 5* at level 13 won't make much of a difference. Not a lot of rank up materials available unless they grind TA1 and T4B arenas.

Point is, their progression has no impact on your progression. Just enjoy the game.

    Amen

yeah bro, I understand i've also been playing the game close to four years now. i have just created a new one to see the difference between when i first played till how the game is now in 2019. . noticing that you mention ' easier' was the point I was trying to get across.

The game has changed dramatically since 2014. But it needed to. Yes newer players have an easier time but that creates retention of those newer players.

    Here is my alt

I pulled Warlock early last week on that account. So now I don’t have the class cats to start ranking warlock. I am on act 5.2 and could get uncollected if I had the drive to push though.

Here is the account I use(d) for gifting

I’m act 2.2 with this one.

Looking back at my progression on my main I would have loved to have that many 4&5 stars back then. Do I think it’s unfair so many low levels have what took us so long to achieve? No, because Kabam has to do something to retain newer players. And handing them good champs at higher rarities does it, so be it.

About as generous as a slot machine

The GGCs create a illusion of generosity. Besides, it's christmas and anniversary. But generally, although the crystals are way easier to get that they used to couple years ago, compared to other mobile games is this one not that generous, if that was your question.

The only down side of newer players getting better champs faster is that they don't learn to fight well until much later hence all the posts about 5.2.4? Masochism messes up almost every new player who first gets to it

I don't think anyone is going to get that much of a leg up with a 5* Kang. He's more of a Trophy.

Now I will say that newer players getting a slightly easier path is needed to a degree. The game needs to get and keep players to keep producing new content and allowing the game to be what it has become. However… enough is enough with crystal pulls. Nexus crystals every so often should be awarded as you open every so many 5*&6* crystals to allow a pick of champs so players can actually get good champs and not be starved out and get so disheartened they want to stop playing. In others words… every time a player works hard, spends money, & opens X amount of 5-6* crystals it should be a nexus crystal of the same level so people don’t become like me and start thinking strongly about quitting bc the time & funds spent are never producing a champ that will help them progress in game content. Every 10th crystal being a Nexus would be fine as long as players could get the 1 champ they pick and want to rank up to keep them excited about the game. Because of my luck of 5* pulls with no options to pick a champion and repeatedly getting poor champions is getting harder and harder for me to want to spend the time & money to keep playing. I’m no genius by any means but a bone should be thrown to stop the poor champion blues.

    No, just no.

    @TheOP
The game isn’t generous to new players. That’s the natural evolution of the game. No newcomer would have stayed the contest if it was the same to progress as it was before four years. By the time older players have a minimum of 1mil rating and multiple 8k/9k prestige champs, do we need to complain about new players get their hands early on a 5* at rank2 maximum? How can these players ever compete older summoners? It is so simple as that: even if kabam help them more (and they should if they want their customer base increase), they stand no chance to reach older accounts level, before their own new account becomes old.

I’ve deleted games I liked because they gave me a five star(highest*) and wiped the floor

You can’t just make it easy for knew players

But no at the point I’m at they not generous (badnspelling)

The first 4 acts are all way too easy, if you struggle with them, how? Also ur level is 26, i dont think you understand how easy 5*s really are to get, have been playing for 4 months and have pulled 8 five stars with one of em being a dupe, a 5* kang in the big picture wont matter. Now 6* on the other hand, that can actually be an insane pull.

Of course the game is more generous, and it needs to be. Those of us here at the start had to grind for 3-stars. That was it.

Don't let anybody fool you: It was a miserable time. No duped abilities, no 4-stars. Just the initial release of characters.

Why would I want someone else to go through that?

It's a game, man. It's OK to be happy for other people. People are out here just trying to have fun

It reminds of the days when I would get so hyped to pull either 3* gamora, BP, or colossus from my daily crystal
