Gifting Rewards

I joinend my old alliance when the gifting event had 12/13 days left to go. Got around and gifted a few things today, but I can‘t claim a single milestone. It says i either didn‘t contributed enough or joinend my alliance too late ( I surely have gifted enough for the first 8-9 milestones). Does that mean I will not get any rewards? Rank rewards & milestone rewards?

U can get this milestones ther already ative when u wasn’t ther but not sure it is is all of them

I think about the alliance gifting event part. U have to contribute exact same amount. Or unless everyone can claim those milestones. Cz many people are paid players in alliance. And anyone can just join a team and caim the rewards and left. That would be unfair.
So may be that's what's happening.
