Is Mutagenesis worth anything at all?

Just accumulated 10 Mastery Core X and wondering to put a unit or two in Mutagenesis.

I use Wolverine sig 60 for AQ and the possible scenarios are fighting Black Panther on mini boss node.

The point is not getting hit and healing Wolverine via regen.

So, is Mutagenesis merely like insurance and is it even effective?

Oops - should this go onto Strategy & Tips section?

No mutagenesis is worthless put your points somewhere that'll actually impact your champions. Im not sure which map has BP as a miniboss but I think it is map 2 and with the way players progress in a month or 2 you will be doing map 3 or 4 or even 5 and mutagenesis will have 0 value now

i was actually planning on maxing mutagenesis, coagulate, and double edge once i pull wolverine, and use him, x23, and another mutant for AQ. that way you're bleeding for only 13.5 seconds instead of 16, and healing more than you're losing and spiking your damage some.

Pretty good idea there! I like it!

I would say those mutant cores are better served giving you detect mutant. Personally I have detect mutant, mystic, and science for AW and it's a great boon.

So, it's possible to use it to positive effect. I've heard people use Rogue with Mutagensis against caltrops to reduce the bleed damage to like 1 second or something.

However, it's still a bad mastery. For the points it's just not that effective. There will be niche cases where it is useful, but it's expensive to max out for the limited use you would get out of it.
