When do we get to spend our left over Acorns?

Not all, but I think at least half of us still have a decent amount of Acorns left after spending a million of it. And from what I understand, Kabam have said that they will be releasing a Crystal of some sort? for us to spend our leftover acorns on (Or Similar). The Event's ending in about a week, and there's still no sign of this. Any news on this guys?

    I'm sure it will happen after the event is over. Are you in that big of hurry for 3 & 4* shards?
