The description for VTD in the Abyss specifically says that he will never activate his regeneration from his RNA bank, yet it happened to me every fight against him. I don't have a recording from my fight, but you can see it in Seatin's initial completion video at the 3 hours 4 minutes & 30 seconds mark:

    He can trigger regen buffs from his mutation ability, not from the RNA bank that gives him buffs every time he uses a special attack
