Act 5.3 bugged, or by design?

Finally got around to fully exploring 5.3, which is tedious to say the least. What I noticed was that there was a lot of full Energy Refills scattered within the quests of this chapter, sometimes even 2 on a single lane. Decided to go back into the Cosmic chapter, and saw a lane with an Energy Refill, but past the first two fights I just couldn't progress in any direction. No, the paths don't require any key either. Is this a bug?

    Look like Kabam removed all the key gates so you should be able to explore any path again. I just check the cosmic quest, there is revive after antman, cable. I was able to advance to AV after collecting the revive. In 5.3.6, I took the red hulk path and fought 5 champs for another revive.

    Because you have 100% already, gate no longer required.

    That was not the case in the past. Kabam reset all the key gates after 100% exploration. I had to open a support ticket requesting for additional keys to open the gates. That was really dumb.

    Okay, so what you're saying is I should still be able to progress regardless, but couldn't for some reason? My map had 2 energy refills on the same path. feelsbadman :D
