Can´t chose which rank up gem to use

Hi,
I got 2 2016 3->4 tech rank up gems.
I got 1 3->4 tech rank up gem without release date restrictions .
I can´t chose the 2016 gem over the other one when trying to rank up Star Lord or Ultron.
The rank up screen offers automatically the unrestricted rank up gem.
Hint: A few weeks back the 2016 rank up gem was automatically selected. (I had 3 2016 gems and 1 unrestricted and was able to use a 2016 gem on Rocket Racoon)
