BWCV Death Touch/Death immunity issue

Hey!
I fought Thing on path 6, first node(aon/brute force) in AW tier 4 with bwcv. I used my sp3 and received death touch, when later received damage that would knock me out I was knocked out. Death touch did not become death immunity.

Does anyone know why?

    The opponent might have assassin mastery which has ability accuracy reduction, that might have prevented your death touch from saving you?
