Rank Up Decission (Colossus 6*)

Hello,
I have a question concerning a rank up decission.
I have Colossus as a five star unduped rank 5 and he is of course amazing.
But one of my act 6 rewards was a 6 Star Colossus and I would like to know if you would rank up the 6 Star to rank 2 (with the Rank 1-2 Gem) or if you wouldn't rank the 6 Star due to the reason that I already have the 5 Star maxed out.
