Mole Man Expedition infinite fight loop Bug

Currently doing one of the Mole Man Expedition paths, and am at the end Mole Man boss. Killed him, the fights starts over again. Thought maybe I wasn't paying attention and it was an ambush at the end node before porting to the final Mole Man, but nope. Killed him, and he's there again full life, and it just goes on repeat and I can't complete the quest now.
