It's not only Kabam, it's also Marvel and its fandom. If I wanted to psychoanalyze it, I'd say people see it as a sign of strength. I could go deeper and say that a Female Superhero has to shed her femininity and adopt a stereotypical, masculine appearance to compete in a male-dominated field, but that would be delving too deep, even for me.
I would also like to point out that that’s complete bs and you shouldn’t be psychoanalyzing this. I’m pretty sure the haircuts aren’t meant to make some big political statement
