6.2.6 champion fight

Now that 6.4 is out and the legend runs are done, is there any consideration to reduced that roadblock 6.2.6 Champion fight. That last 10% is such a horrible design. I completely understand that you want the fight to be really hard to beat, but to put a mechanic in that you have to time so perfectly is completely unfair to a large portion of your player base. I have spoken to a majority of players in my alliance as well as some from other alliances, and the consensus is the ones they passed that fight have zero intention of going back in and the ones that haven’t beaten it will either quit the game when they run out of other content or will never even try it. If you want to do that mechanic, either lower the block damage or reduce it from 5 to 1 or 2. Please for the love of the game, discuss this.

No chance to change that fight. What ends up happening are newer champs become better counters to him.

New champs can’t fix a too tight timing issue unless they can either auto dex or bypass that whole mechanic.

It’s not that bad I just did it with a r4 sym supreme a few days ago

@AzKicker316 is right, new champs make it so much easier. Namely Mister Fantastic. Mister Fantastic allows every champ that can deal with unstoppable to do the fight with much ease, except for the No Retreat fight which sucks regardless of who you use.

The only bad thing about it is that it is champ specific and no retreat
No retreat is an idiotic node design by itself
But if you have the skill you can do the last 10% real easy
    It’s more skill than units
So your consensus is literally less than 50 people so maybe they should practice using dex
    as opposed to complain
    It’s completely one shot able

So is that Champion worse than any boss in 6.3 or 6.4? Even Grandmaster?

first off .. i agree COMPLETELY that is it easily the single worst fight in the game. BUT here's how you beat him pretty easily. coming from someone who attempted at least 20 times until I realized how easy it is. you'll need Sym Supreme and The Thing. (and Champion for synergy for good measure)

get him to 10% with Sym. and then use The Thing to finish him off. Back into the corner on a special 2 .. evade it all and then boom. i practiced this with the Mole Champion Epic fight before doing it. if you can master evading Quake style in the corner for those 5 Dex specials then it's cake.

The timing isn't that bad if you duel enough for practice. I found dexing his sp2 was easier than sp1. When I finally beat him, after countless units for that last 10%, I got 2-3 dexes from his sp2.

And to even suggest changing a story fight because you're having trouble is beyond ridiculous. I'm one of the last ones in my alliance to beat him, because I had to be patient and wait for the right champ, capiw, to fall into my lap, plus save enough units because I knew I would need them. I did tons of duels to help with the timing. Instead of complaining about the fight, put there needed effort to learning how to beat it, as well as patient enough if you don't have the right champs.

yes he is, the Grandmaster phase 3 with reverse control comes close but The Champion is still way worst.

As for the original post, i wouldnt mind if Kabam were to change the number of required dex to 3 instead of 5.

@StevieManWonder how does Mr Fantastic help with this fight?
  • StevieManWonderStevieManWonder Member Posts: 5,019 ★★★★★
@Marvsbd His Careful Study Passive. Throw him into the fight when you're ready for the final 10% and get the Champion to throw his Sp1 three times and it places a 75% weakness passive on it for the next five fights. Block damage goes from 2000+ per hit to 400 or less per hit. That was with Doom though and he has very high block proficiency too, but the damage reduction is huge for all champs

Cross fight abilities that Mr. F can put on opponents, which will help another champ fight champion

I just took him down yesterday ... One shot with Supreme after like 20 failed attempts ... I'll be pissed if it happens ... I literally lost my mind a couple of times because of this 😂😂

Exactly that. Changing the required dexs from 5 to 3 would make the fight just hard and interactive, not annoying. Also, no retreat node needs a redesign from the ashes. It’s timers need to be reduced to 0,9sec to 1sec maximum, from 1,2sec that is now, so that skills play role, other than just tank the damage.
