Which side to choose

As i'm a progressing player soo i choose to worship apocalypse as there are crystal sharda as reward but after selection it shows that i choose to follow the ancient one i think its a bug. Kindly help me rewarding this issue because i want to worship apocalypse to get thay shards as i need new characters champions for game to begin.
Anyone having that same issue. Please help me how to resolve this
