Besides looking stunningly beautiful much like a goddess, Emma Frost has interesting Abilities that allow her to be very competitive amongst all Women Champions.
Prowess Passive provides +10% Special Attack Damage that can be additionally increased to +50% Special Attack Damage but only while in Diamond Form.
Her Diamond Form grants many Immunities including Bleed, Concussion, Coldsnap, Exhaustion, Fatigue, Frostbite, Poison, Incinerate and Stun Buffs.
Furthermore, she gains indefinite Boosts to Armor Rating AND Physical Resistance plus Block Proficiency in addition to 10% chance for Perfect Blocks. Note any Prowess Buffs are removed while in Diamond Form. Lastly, Emma Frost gains increased Critical Damage Resistance while reducing the opponent's Critical Damage Rating. Any Heavy Attacks while in Diamond Form generate 50% additional Power for Special Attacks Meter plus reduces the opponent's Power Regeneration by 80% with each successful Attack.
Note that Emma Frost will begin each Battle within Diamond Form unless de-buffed via Armor Break which causes Emma Frost to revert into Telepath Form for the duration of the de-buff. Coincidentally, Emma Frost bases her Form on Special Attack Meter versus the Target's Special Attack Meter and will only switch to Diamond Form if the opponent has more Power Meter than herself.
Telepath Form grants increased Critical Damage plus Critical Attack Rating. Similarly to Diamond Form; any Prowess Buffs will Increase Special Attack Damage by (+10%) but allows double the amount of Prowess Charge Buffs. Any Critical Attacks will refresh any Prowess Charge Duration. Ultimately while in Telepath Form - Emma can ignore Evade Buffs.
Emma Frost can utilize Heavy Attacks while in Telepath Form, allowing a 60% chance to cause Taunt De-Buff for 5 seconds which reduces Base Attack Damage by 40% yet have increased chance to trigger Special Attacks by 60%.
Any Special Attacks are done while in Telepath Form and has True Strike Buff which ignores opponent Armor Rating. Any Prowess Buffs are then removed.
SP1- Causes Power Sting which causes Direct Damage if the opponent activates any Special Attacks thus effective to bait using Taunt De-Buffs before triggering and lasts 8 seconds.
SP2- Causes Concussion which reduces the opponent's Offense Ability Accuracy by 50% for 8 seconds.
SP3- Reduces the Target's Power Gain Buff by 75% from all sources for 8 seconds.
Synergies can further improve all components of Emma Frost; Invisible Woman + Emma Frost and Mysterio + Emma Frost both look promising. Colossus + Emma Frost could also work too assuming that your Champion Team could feature two Heroes within the same Class?
While Colossus is currently my preferred Mutant-Class due to Awakened and Rank 5 - I have ArchAngel whom has recently been Awakened and ready for Rank 4 into Rank 5. How could you sell me on Emma Frost being introduced into the Team based on her strengths or perhaps certain match-up advantages?
