Characters Using Their Specials Without Me Activating Them

When fighting my champs will sometimes fire off their L1 without me activating it. This is odd because in the past I used to have to freaking mash the special bar to even get them to work almost all the time. It usually happens when I'm trying to do a block break which makes the special useless. At first I thought, 'maybe I'm accidentally hitting it' but I've paid close attention and nope, it continues to happen when my fingers aren't near the bar. Please fix it. It's quite annoying.

    Happens to me a lot to, I've noticed it more fighting with my Groot. He always seems to fire off his first special randomly even though my finger is no where near special.

    An other times I also have a hard time activating my specials of any level
