Sunspot flare state damage

So I was bored and decided to investigate if sunspot was getting the full bonus damage per flare state that he should be getting based on this line in his bio (5/65 sunspot)



As it turns out, he doesn’t get the full damage increase. For critical hits, it’s pretty close to the increase in the description (1,015), but for the non-crits it doesn’t increase as much (827). I have a couple videos linked below, which should include all crits and non-crits for mediums and lights for 1 through 4 flare states. But I have them broken down below as well. Not a big deal, but I thought it was interesting)

Medium attacks
1 flare
- crit = 4152
- non = 1839
2 flare
- crit = 5167 (increase 1015)
- non = 2666 (increase 827)
3 flare
- crit = 6183 (increase 1015)
- non = 3492 (increase 827)
4 flare
- crit = 7199 (increase 1016)
- non = 4319 (increase 827)

Light attacks
1 flare
- crit = 3026
- non = 1476
2 flare
- crit = 4042 (increase 1016)
- non = 2302 (increase 826)
3 flare
- crit = 5057 (increase 1015)
- non = 3129 (increase 827)
4 flare
- crit = 6073 (increase 1016)
- non = 3956 (increase 827)

TL;DR sunspot’s flare states don’t provide the amount of bonus damage on basic attacks that is in his description.

I think it’s possible the reason is because it goes off or adds to base attack
I check on auntmai and the 5/65 SS also had a 1049 and from you pic you had about a 12% increase in attack from SS base damage is at 5/65

It could have something to do with base attack, but that wouldn’t explain the lower increase in non-crit attacks.

Idk would armour rating make any difference since crits mostly ignore armour?

I'm pretty sure crits are supposed to ignore all armor. But, yeah, who knows how Kabamamatics is supposed to work.
