Is it even worth trying a legends run?

I would like to make a legends run. I have a fully maxed R5 Corvus, resources, and am prepared to do full suicides. I am second guessing this because I hear that people that have already achieved this continue to do it month after month. Do they allow times from those that have already received legend to compete? If so, why?

    gonna need 30% boosts a ton of energy refills and a good phone usually under 3 hours and 12 mins is good but since there are alot of r3 6 stars who knows

    It’s all about the phone if not new and top of the line then don’t bother, for years only the latest iPhone could do it but I hear there are a couple android phones out now that can achieve it
