Is this a bug?

So earlier today, I opened a premium crystal and pulled a 4 star Karnak, and I wanted to get him up a rank. But for some reason, he needs not only skill, but cosmic catalysts. Does anyone know if this is a bug or is it normal?

Not sure. Thought it might be a new trend they were doing (Phoenix taking cosmic and mutant cats?) or maybe they were about to make hybrid champs, but Karnak is just special for some reason.

Karnak is a inhuman he is a skill class (why he needs skill catalysts and the gas + the genes needed to be a inhuman must be cosmic (why he needs cosmic catalysts
