Rift detector 0r dimensional chronometer? ?

So for the upcoming event which of the following will u chose and why??

You need both don't you, the rift detector to open the rift and the dimensional chronometer to pick a specific path in that rift, there is no choice to be made here.

Once you have used up a dimensional chronometer for a specific tier though you cant buy another of that same tier, so after that buying rift detectors is the only option.

I dont need any specific AG so unless anything changes during the month i reckon ill choose 18 rifts over the chronometer. Hopefully i manage to get something decent

I'm gonna go for all the random ones before I buy the chronometer, because I dont NEED an awakening gem. I just want the 6 star shards or 5 star shards so if I can pull 1000 6 star shards and the 10000 5 star or whatever then I'm gonna do all I'm random ones.

Actually, there IS a choice to be made. You can skip the dimensional chronometer altogether and instead buy 5 more rift detectors.

If you choose to use a directional chronometer. You can open 12 random rifts and 1 rift with guaranteed rewards. If you choose to skip using the chronometer, you can open 18 random rifts.

So, if you're looking for a specific class awakening gem, then going for a dimensional chronometer would make a lot more sense. If you're not looking for anything specific, there's no point in using the chronometer, you'd be missing out on a lot of potential rewards.
