This is gonna be a controversial suggestion

But I think it would be for everyone's good: potion limits in more content. Right now we have limits to how many potions we can use in incursions, this makes them more skill based and makes it harder to just use infinite units to get to the last room. If there was a potion limit, even a generous one in abyss it may have lasted as long as the devs predicted for whales instead of just a few hours. It would mean the devs can't be accused of making content with the purpose of using revives, and would make content more skill based. Legends runs would also benefit greatly since mistakes would be much more costly and have a great effect on the run. Content would not be able to be bought through, whales would not be able to burn themselves out as quickly by buying infinite revives to get through new content. A slightly more forgiving adjustment would be only limiting revives, which would reward one shotting fights, while not being completely unforgiving.

As a one off, sure. In general, I don't like mechanics that force players to play a specific way. I prefer as much freedom as possible even if it ain't the best way to approach a problem.

Ironically, I've done this since I first started playing the game. I don't liberally revive or use pots to complete content. I limit myself to 2 revives max. My view is if i can't get it done without a bunch of revives or pots, I'm not buying or stashing my way through it. That cheapens the thrill of victory to me. That said, I'd never force another player to play how i play.

Yeah I also thought rewarding players for using less than a certain amount of revives or rewarding itemless runs would be better but I didn't think of that until after I posted, plus I still think legends runs would benefit from item limits, though itemless legends run being its own tier of legends run works
