HELP Connection Issue

I have an iPhone 5s and when I open the game it tells me to make a new account or use an existing account this is because I have not played before so it is understandable but when I click the new game option it repeatedly comes to the same message connection issue. I have tried to use data doesn't work and I have reconnected to the wifi doesn't work and I have reinstalled the game and still, it does not work. anyone have any other ideas?
