Here's an idea for content moving forward, either story or variants. For this to work, the nodes don't need to be easier, but less geared towards specific champs to win fights. Each time that you clear the stage, the 5 champs that you used for that run can no longer be brought in for that particular quest. For example, you bring in a team with ghost and full synergies for 6.4.1, you can use that team only once for 6.4.1, but can use that team again in 6.4.2 and each stage after. But cannot use those champs again for full exploration.
If each stage has 6 paths, that means you'd need 30 different champs for full exploration. That means content can't be so difficult you have to have maxed 5* or r2 6* champs because the average player doesn't have that depth, I don't.
What are your thoughts? Could something like this work and be fun?
