Silver Surfer and Psychic Thorns

Can anyone confirm if Surfer can work in Psychic Thorns node in AW? Seems like the light attacks aren't contact attacks. I know he takes damage from electro with all basic attacks, but unsure of Psychic Thorns.

Also, will his sp1 heal enough in psychic thorns?

    It's whether or not his medium and lights attacks deal physical or energy damage. They aren't projectiles at least, they make contact
