Suggestions on Ranking Up

Hello, I currently have enough resources to rank up one of my 4* 3/30 characters to rank 4/40. I would like to get the thoughts from the more experienced players on which one to rank up in order to help me get through Act 4. I'm currently on 4.1.2. Here is my top characters:

Cyclops (Blue Team) 5* 1/25

Groot 4* 4/40
Dr Voodoo 4* 3/30
Hyperion 4* 3/30
Vision (AoU) 4* 3/30
Spider-man (MM) 4* 3/30
Moon Knight 4* 3/30
Hulk 4* 3/30
Gamora 4* 3/30

None of these are duped. My initial thought was Gamora since she helps the team out when paired with Groot. But, Dr Voodoo, Hyperion, Vision, and Hulk seem like such stronger players.

Also, I'm currently not part of an alliance. I mainly do the story and event quests. I don't know if it matters, but I'm probably one of the older players, and my reactions aren't quite as good as they used to be.

Your priorities currently are first hyperion, he is godly even unduped, Hulk or vision second ( hulk for damage and stuns, vision for power control and fourth Dr. Voodoo. If you do act 4 100% use that gem and voodoo and that shoots him up to the top of the rank up list but unduped he sits at fourth in your roster

I'd agree with choosing one of Hyperion, Hulk or DV. As an unsupervised champ, I'd lean towards Hyperion; as DV and Hulk need Awakening to become really awesome, whilst Hyperion is pretty much there already.

I really like Gamora, but since Kabam changed her Sig to 'once per fight' (even if this was always the case and we just didn't know it) she lost a lot of her luster for me.
