Idea to Refresh AQ

A lot of thought has been put into how to move forward with end-game content since the Act 7 beta. Despite me having a roster that SHOULD be able to complete end-game content, I don't see me doing it any time soon, if ever, given the current state.
But what I do play regularly is the AQ mode of the game, and it has become a little stagnant. The most tedious part in my opinion, is the repetitive nature of AQ. I generally run the same paths in Map 6 and 7 in my BG. I get good at them but it gets old. And it is not as simple as simply running a different lane in these modes. The tactic of node "buffing" has created this one-person-per-path strategy because each path require very specific counters. Especially map 7!
So what could be done? I'm sure the game team has looked at a lot of options. Perhaps one that have not looked at is gating AQ and restricting re-use of champs on the team.
First, the crazy node practice has to go away. Lanes that require one of a couple different champs to successfully complete should be reworked. Made easier, more general.
Next, every path that I take in AQ during the week should locked so that I cannot run it again during the AQ cycle. This only works, of course, for maps with 5+ paths in any given tier.
Finally, just like arenas and incursions, once you use a champ in AQ during the week they are not available to be used again that same week.
This way everyone in the alliance needs to take 5 different paths during the week in each tier of AQ. Because the nodes were dialed back and the need for very specific counters is gone, this should not be a problem. Additionally, instead of being able to use the same team of 3 champs each day, you would have to use 15 different champs during the AQ cycle.
This increases strategy on the player level AND on the alliance level. It makes you use that deeper roster. It encourages you to rank up other champs.
Just a crazy idea perhaps. But for me it would make AQ more interesting.
