Shocking offer. What shocks me even more is their insensitivity to the needs of the player base. Frankly? I'm offended.

The notion of being offended about something that is offered for money, that isn't needed to live, baffles me. Do you freak out if you see a dealership offering nicer rims for 5 grade? How do you even survive thinking this way
Yeah of course I'd freak out! It's the basis of what is wrong with the global economy. Creating a* problem and then providing an unreasonably expensive solution for it. How do YOU survive with it?
    You are mad about inflation.....
Key word right there hombre .. you're perceptive
I mean are you just constantly mad at the world then? Every time you get gas do you have to punch something being that it used to be like 5 cents a gallon at one point? New cars used to be $500 for the latest and greatest. Are you just constantly cussing inside your car? Assuming you're even old enough to drive.
    Haha that made me laugh.

See the interesting thing about gas is that demand is relatively inelastic but there is a lot of competition in the industry which keeps prices somewhat reasonable. Changes in price here would not bother me at all. Also, the substitutes available to me (alternative modes of transportation) eliminate my need for gas, which leaves me satisfied with whatever I pay.

New cars used to be about $500 but they've increased in price because of so many factors: increase in demand, advancements in technology, quality of design and materials, etc. And because there's so much competition in the industry, it means that I have a wide variety of substitutes to choose from, which also leaves me satisfied with whatever I pay.

Now over here, materials are not scarce, materials can be produced at little to no cost, there are no substitutes, there is no guarantee on what you're getting, the prices are unjustifiably high, and it's pitched as a solution to a problem the same supplier have created. That's what makes me mad.

Oh and, I live to drive✌🏽

I just don't buy the $5000 rims or the $50000 artwork and survive just fine!
    Fair point 😄

If you have the right champs a completion run in the Abyss is cheaper. Exploring a Variant doesn't cost 4500 units. I literally can't imagine why anyone would waste units or money on these offers.

Could be you've already completed all that content and want to rank your champions. Like your 5th r3 6*...
Heck. I'm looking to R2 my first six. I'm working on my third T5B for it and have a couple t2a. I wouldn't even entertain this for 1500 units. Two more AQ and next months EQ will do it.

T5B and T2A can be gained for free in the game... There's nothing to be mad about. Even the units can be earned in game for free. You're paying for convenience with those offers. That's the demand that drives those offers. Someone who is very close to ranking a kept champion might buy that offer because it's convenient and they're impatient.

Now like you said, both those resources aren't scarce but on the flip side, it takes more effort to get.

Point is, there isn't a reason to get mad at all.

I was mainly referring to T5CC, but I agree with everything else you said✌🏽

I remember when @DNA3000 used to chime in on these threads. He’d say something along the lines of “The ideal offer is one that a few people will buy, for the least possible gain. This keeps the game profitable without becoming pay to win. If the offers were significantly better, the free to play crowd would lose interest as the gap widened.”

He must have gotten tired of being right. 🤷‍♂️
