Another War Complaint - Some changes needed

War seems really unpopular recently.
My alliance has run into an odd problem. A few months ago we were playing tier 10-12 wars (not very high, but ok). After a few losses we fell to tier 15 weird thing is the opponents didn’t get easier. We keep getting paired against similar strength opponents. I suppose it’s “fair” but now we are in tier 18 as a ~7500 prestige alliance and struggling to stay in silver 2. One would imagine that being in the tier of the 50-60% range would end up with tons of easy matchups that would allow us to rise back to a reasonable tier of difficulty.
Part of the problem is that wars in this tier are too easy (weird complaint, but yeah). Both sides are easily 100% clearing the map each time and getting maybe 3-6 defender kills total. The decider is often a marginal difference in diversity. It getting annoying. When all the nodes are lame like +25% attack, victory isn’t about skill or great defender placement.... it becomes about which side completed the war more perfectly.
I understand that high level wars are annoying with these defense tactics things (which I have never seen) but being a reasonably strong alliance and losing wars due to lack of diversity spreadsheet management is crazy boring.
I think that if we are in a war tier with weak opponents, we should get to encounter them, win and get promoted to higher tiers until we reach hard fights. Doesn’t make sense that we are stuck fighting in junior wars intended for new players.
