This would be an interesting game economy exercise.

Say you reduce the number of shards required to 5000 while keep all current reward values in tact. You are then putting 2x the number of 5 star heroes into the game. In doing so you are increasing the number of 5 star dupes which is also significantly increasing the number of 6-star shards in game. (This also would impact the amount of ISO players are receiving)

Overall this would be a significant change to champion acquisition. I wonder how much this idea has been talked about in Kabam circles.
